Popular Post Allen ★ Posted November 10, 2021 Popular Post Share #1 Posted November 10, 2021 My maple turned red as hell today. It was still a touch orange yesterday, today it’s red red. 8
Kzoo Posted November 10, 2021 Share #2 Posted November 10, 2021 I love red maples. The 3 we have are bright yellow - or were last week.

MickinMD ★ Posted November 10, 2021 Share #6 Posted November 10, 2021 Stuff is still pretty green here, but starting to turn - which I think is dependent on the length of daylight rather than temperature. The weather's had highs in the mid-60's to low-70's recently, but expected to drop into the 50's next week. That's not far out of the ordinary: Thanksgiving marks the week when pleasure boating on the Chesapeake is usually wrapped up and people winterize their boats. Longjohn ★ Posted November 20, 2021 Share #10 Posted November 20, 2021 Our fall color is brown for the oaks and gone for everything else.
maddmaxx ★ Posted November 20, 2021 Share #11 Posted November 20, 2021 Last weeks freaky storm blew the leaves off the trees. The color now is stick brown/grey.
Airehead Posted November 20, 2021 Share #12 Posted November 20, 2021 We were just discussing that all the color is gone except on the weeping willows. Snow was in the air this morning.

It's just the reverse here. Softwood everywhere and the maple trees in people's front yards (and Alder + Madrona, etc)
Square Wheels Posted November 21, 2021 Share #16 Posted November 21, 2021 I think our leaves are finally done falling. Spent another 4 hours yesterday picking them up.

My side yard was 99% from my neighbor. The leaves were too deep for the tractor. Lots of blowing, raking, and hauling before they were minimized enough for the tractor. Still resulted in 20 or 30 stops with the tractor.
