Longjohn ★ Posted October 1, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 1, 2017 I was outside in the dark last night bringing hanging plants into the spa room for the winter. My weather app said temps in the mid thirties overnight but woke up to everything being white with frost. I moved some of my plants up close to the wall of the house on the covered deck. Time will tell if that was enough. I need to move things around to make more room inside.

team scooter Posted October 1, 2017 Share #7 Posted October 1, 2017 We'll get a frost if it gets into the high 30s. The Mrs has been covering her tomatoes. But has given up on her flowers. I think she is just tired of watering them for the year.

Longjohn ★ Posted October 1, 2017 Author Share #16 Posted October 1, 2017 My plants that I moved up appear to be fine. I’m going to have to leave some freeze because I don’t have room for them all inside. It looks like I have a few days before the next frost to decide.

Longjohn ★ Posted October 2, 2017 Author Share #18 Posted October 2, 2017 We had a picnic at a friend's house after church today. The dad was busy grilling burgers and dogs and all the other adults were in the house. Four of my grandkids were out playing on the deck and several other children. I stayed out on the deck with the kids. I pretty much had one or two grandkids in my lap the whole time and sometimes I had Eden, the twenty month old daughter of the hosts. I must look like a good grandpa, she came right over to me and climbed up on my lap. She really is adorable but I didn't get any pictures at the picnic.
