Tumbleweed Connection was the first album I owned.  3400 later, it remains one of my favourites.  That may just be nostalgia though.

If you get a book with the real piano chords Elton John plays, you'll be amazed at how hard it is - extremely high level stuff!

There is a joke among classical piano students that Chopin's piano pieces were made so hard to play so you could feel his pain while you're playing.  Elton John's stuff is like that.

An Elton John greatest hits album piped up on my YouTube’s the other day and it went about an hour before a song came on that I really didn’t care for.

So many great songs. Listening to him brings me back to my childhood as my older sisters played his albums regularly.

Is that what he was singing? I thought he was singing “Someone shaved my wife tonight”.  Anyway that is the way I sang it to my wife every time they prepped her for surgery.

Its hard to say which Elton John song is my favorite. I think it's whatever early E J song is playing at the time. Like Levon, even though they over played it for over forty years, I turned it up instead of turning it off when I heard it on the way home today.
