On the bus again

I hate being such a whiner,  but I really don't like people.   The two old biddies in front of us won't stop talking.  For the first 20 minutes they read the names of the places we were passing.  For the last 30 minutes they've been trying to buy something on Amazon and talking about why she can't enter her credit card info.

Would it be wrong to push them out the window?

I enjoy that kind of stuff.  A form of entertainment.  I always enjoyed listening in on other people's conversations on airplanes.  It's better than watching the Kardashians.  :D

Not when they're wearing bikinis.

Why did you take the Greyhound anyway? The bus is for the dreggs of society like myself. You are a man of means with your own whistlepigs and such. Really is odd that you took the bus. Please don't start taking

@SpeedDemon for granted. You are only a couple of poor decisions away from being my friend Carl.

I blame her, it was her idea.

Why on earth did you not put earphones in and drown everything out?  Are you sure you have been to a big city before?

I had in earplugs and was covering my ears too, trying to be all passive aggressive.   These weren't city folk, two got off in my town, the other three continued on to new Hampshire.

For those that don't know, there are multiple bus services that run from big city to big city on the east coast.  They are typically pretty cheap and just go point to point, and are pretty efficient for the most part.  They are also kind of dangerous and vastly undermaintained, too, and occasionally get shut down because of this.

That said, are you really gonna drive your car and then have to park in some big city other than yours?  Or are you going to rent a car and have to drive to that city and park?  Are you going to take an airplane for 18 times the price, or a train for 5 times the price of the bus?  Of course not, you are gonna get on that death magnet and take your chances for that $20 round trip, because that is what you do when you live there.

I may have been on that bus, or one just like it, btw.  You have to pick your seat carefully to avoid being on the side of the bus that the sun is shining directly on, especially important if the AC isn't working.

Left 1/2 mile from my house.

You can't beat that with a stick. However, you COULD beat those bitties with a stick. Just sayin'....

P.S. RG has a really good point. If you're going to a small town like where I live, drive. But SW was going to a place no one in their right mind wants to drive or even just have the responsibility of what the hell do we do with the car?

When the kids fly in from Malaysia they typically take the Chinese bus from NY to the Casino about 20 minutes from my house.  The cost, about $20.  The departure and pick up points however are parking lots so don't expect lots of services.  It's all good though because it's rare for someone to be carrying live chickens.

I agree. People-watching (and listening) can be really interesting.
