Popular Post Longjohn ★ Posted June 10, 2018 Author Popular Post Share #16 Posted June 10, 2018 I took a few photos of the MS ride “Escape To The Lake” today. I used to do this ride every year. I got tired of raising funds but I’m thinking about signing up for next year’s ride. I would have a full year to raise the money. This is the tunnel I had to ride through every day on my commute to work. The place I retired from is on the right of these riders just out of the picture. This hill is pretty steep, I talked to one of my friends that did the ride (Scott) and he said these were the hard core riders doing the optional route. I had to ride this hill every payday before they went to direct deposit. They added a rest stop right on courthouse square for the optional riders because they were going to miss the regular rest stop by about ten miles. The regular rest stop for all the other riders is at the school where my son taught school 4
Longjohn ★ Posted June 10, 2018 Author Share #17 Posted June 10, 2018 We have a local century ride that uses courthouse square for a rest stop. I always have a hard time deciding on drinking their gator aid or going in “Hicks On The Square” right across the street for one of their twenty some beers on tap. 1

Tizeye Posted June 16, 2018 Share #30 Posted June 16, 2018 About 4 years ago got a magnolia tree for free at a spring festival as they were giving away native Florida plants/trees. Was about 4' tall, now about 7'. While did bloom the first and second year, has been dormant. Today has 2 blooms and one bud. 2

My wife asked me why I was taking pictures. I told her because I can. She doesn't trust my eyesight anymore so she drove the whole 880 miles down and back this week. She never wanted to do any of the driving the whole 42 years we have been married but I hit a couple snapping turtles on the road that I thought were just dark spots on the pavement one time and now she does all the driving unless she isn't feeling well. If I would have known that's all it would take I could have run over turtles years ago. 2
