Popular Post 12string Posted November 19, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted November 19, 2020 Sweetwater.com is running a contest. Winner gets everything saved to their wish list, up to $5K. So I ran around their site filling up a list full of sound equipment, instrument goodies, fun musical stuff. It was actually pretty hard to come up with enough stuff, since I stayed away from new guitars. Even after a new PA setup for the band, trying to pick only stuff that I would actually buy and use regularly. I managed to close it out at $4998.80. I guess I could add some picks or something.
jsharr ★ Posted November 19, 2020 Share #2 Posted November 19, 2020 No, not at a music shop. Other places, hold my beer. 2

Airehead Posted November 20, 2020 Share #4 Posted November 20, 2020 I just had this discussion with one of my girls. She inherited much musical talent from her dad. She wants https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Fantom-8--roland-fantom-8-music-workstation-keyboard. That eats up most of it. I said that would be nice. She said, “Does that mean you will give it to me for Christmas if I don’t win?” Good try. 1

Kirby Posted November 20, 2020 Share #10 Posted November 20, 2020 Depends on the prices at the store. The Winner will have to pay taxes on their winnings, so if I could actually get the stuff cheaper somewhere else, I might come out ahead If i didn't win. BR46 Posted November 20, 2020 Share #12 Posted November 20, 2020 5k doesn't go very far in the racing world. If you have a extra 600 you don't know what to do with I'm going to need a helmet. Please I'll be your new bestfriend

I could surely buy 5k in GIFTS for folks who play instruments, but other than a wicked drum set a la Step Brothers, I'd have no idea what to buy for myself that would not be totally wasted.
