ChrisL Posted November 28, 2018 Share #11 Posted November 28, 2018 I saw that recently. I have done several surveys in large warehouses and often wondered how safe those racks are. I've seen racks stacked similarly which seemed dangerous to me in earthquake country.
Longjohn ★ Posted November 28, 2018 Share #12 Posted November 28, 2018 I liked the famous Russian vodka warehouse collapse, similar to this one but a little more dramatic. They show it at forklift safety meetings all the time.

I saw it on LI about three weeks ago. The guy that posted it posts a lot of those , but there's rarely a source On the bell curve of likelihood Vs consequence, that one is on the far right side. Longjohn ★ Posted November 29, 2018 Share #17 Posted November 29, 2018 The racks we have for our die shop look exactly like that. We all expected them to collapse by now. Our company made a smart move, the company that sold us the racks said we could go eight shelves high and we decided four high was plenty. Some of the die sets are over a ton.
