Dottleshead ★ Posted September 9, 2020 Share #1 Posted September 9, 2020 Honestly, I'm really glad I got it. It's possible to get both covid-19 and the flu at the same time. No thanks. But.............. Costco was damn slow giving me the shot. Happy it's in the rear view mirror but sorta sucked waiting around a warehouse filled with goons trying to get a shot or a box of meds. Would it be ironic if --- nah.
BuffJim Posted September 9, 2020 Share #2 Posted September 9, 2020 I need to do this soon. Doc wants me to get one now and another in March.
sheep_herder ★ Posted September 9, 2020 Share #3 Posted September 9, 2020 Yep, I usually head down to Osco in October, might need to go a bit earlier this year. There was a long line at Osco this afternoon when I was in Albertsons, and I wondered how many of those folks might have been after flu shots. Tizeye Posted September 9, 2020 Share #4 Posted September 9, 2020 I got mine at Walgreens a week ago. Costco? Given that they sell everything in bulk, you must have needed a huge dose. Prepping a large quantity must be what took them so long. 1

Kirby Posted September 9, 2020 Share #7 Posted September 9, 2020 My doctor's office opens their "flu clinic" later in the month. You can just stop in without an appointment for a flu shot, but I'll have to see if their rules are different this year.

Yeah, I'm not sure what they used but it was a short needle no doubt. The actual inoculation was simple and almost totally painless. And the best part about it was it was 100% covered by my insurance. The worst part? Having to stand around Costco.

BuffJim Posted September 9, 2020 Share #11 Posted September 9, 2020 Scheduled for 5:15 today to get flu and shingles shots. Both are zero copay. After reading @petitepedal ‘s ordeal with Shingles, I don’t want any part of it.

BuffJim Posted September 9, 2020 Share #16 Posted September 9, 2020 I also got a refill of a blood thinner I take when I travel to prevent blood clots. They were supposed to give me 2 doses, 1.6 mg. They gave me 20, 16 mgs. Somebody was struggling with decimals. Guess I won’t need refills til I’ve taken 10 more trips.

I'll bet they will disable all firearms in your house as well as instruct all the microchips in your automobile to shutdown so that you won't be able to escape the dark forces of the UN that will be taking over all walks of life. I know this because I saw videos of them practicing in the fields of Africa in concert with the butterflies. It's all true.

Dottleshead ★ Posted September 11, 2020 Author Share #27 Posted September 11, 2020 I was like @Zackny until I was like 47 or 48 and then I got the damn flu. Then it happened twice the next year. I had influenza 3 times in 2 years -- more than all the previous years combined. I was not to proud to say I better change approaches -- and I'm glad I did. Have I not gotten sick because I took the vaccine? I don't know. I just know I haven't been really sick since getting them.
