bikeman564™ Posted November 26, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 26, 2019 I was watching an episode last night, not sure from when. But the skinny dude bought a 1960 something Bianchi w/ Campy. All original for $700. Was a nice looking bike.
Rattlecan ★ Posted November 26, 2019 Share #2 Posted November 26, 2019 I think we get the new episodes Monday night. I recorded it but have not watched it yet.
Indy Posted November 26, 2019 Share #3 Posted November 26, 2019 I watch occasionally still. I don't care if some of the stuff they find is planted or not, still can be an interesting show.
Longjohn ★ Posted November 26, 2019 Share #4 Posted November 26, 2019 I only watched it once. Moe Jones was being visited and he told me what time it was going to air. They liked his junk and they came back a second time. I didn’t watch the second time.
JerrySTL ★ Posted November 26, 2019 Share #5 Posted November 26, 2019 I watch it at times. Mike owned a bike store at one time.

ChrisL Posted November 26, 2019 Share #8 Posted November 26, 2019 Not usually. I do my own form of picking though as I scan garage sales & junk piles for hidden gems. I hope to find an old Bianchi or Colnago or such needing some TLC
Kzoo Posted November 26, 2019 Share #9 Posted November 26, 2019 I use to watch it. I always enjoyed it. Having a wife that collects 'old' stuff I always needed to keep her away from the show - too many ideas formed in her head.

I just watched last night's episode, and there was no Bianchi but Mike did buy a Schwinn Stingray that was in really nice shape. Not sure it was worth the $700 bucks he paid. shotgun Posted November 27, 2019 Share #22 Posted November 27, 2019 I used to watch it, but got tired of all the hype about banged up rusty crap. I've been to their shop in Iowa a couple times and was even there once when they were filming an episode.

Remember Ice Road Truckers? I was hauling on the same road at the same time they shot season one. If they had shown the reality of the day to day grind, which is basically driving over frozen lakes at 25 to 30 kilometers an hour, nobody is going to watch it. They have to throw in a CGI truck breaking through the ice every five minutes to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Further Posted November 27, 2019 Share #25 Posted November 27, 2019 I work with pickers, my coworkers spend every lunch hour on craigslist & the other trading sites, looking for, buying & selling junk. They mostly break even, win some lose some. They enjoy it, the hunt, playing with the new junk, selling the old junk, getting new junk... They think Pickers is overprinted and over hyped....but they watch it... 1
