Popular Post donkpow Posted April 2, 2021 Popular Post Share #351 Posted April 2, 2021 As far as I have seen, your family represents the best of humankind. I am sure your wife's contribution to that was extraordinary. I am sorry for your loss, John, may peace be with you for all eternity.

Please take care of yourself for your family and all of us that care about you. I hope to meet you someday.... I will take you for a ride in the cabriolet and treat you to a visit with a barberette for a haircut on me. God bless you. 8

I have an appointment on Thursday morning so I’ll have to have her do something. Ben says the style is either long hair and trimmed beard or trimmed hair and long beard. If you have long hair and long beard you just look like a homeless person.

In 1984 WoBG and I were shopping for furniture for our daughters bedroom a few months after we purchased our first home. I had long hair, and I had on an old T-shirt and old jeans. Maybe I was looking just a bit better than a homeless person. We walked into a furniture store (after visiting more than a few) and WoBG found "the furniture" that she loved and wanted to buy. No sales person wanted to help they were 'busy'. Then a young sales person walks up and asks " How can I help you." WoBG tells him the LONG list of stuff she wants to buy. He must have been new... so he goes back and asks one the 'busy' people for some help. That older guy comes over and wants to take our order. We stopped the guy.... NO. We are not buying this from you. Send the young guy back, we are buying all of this from him. You didn't even offer to help, you even looked the other way and ignored us. He lost a big commission that day. 2 1

12string Posted April 6, 2021 Share #374 Posted April 6, 2021 John, sorry to be late catching up. And more sorry to hear that your wife has passed. She was obviously a wonderful woman to have inspired the love and dedication you've been showing her. Your stories lately have been an inspiration. Kirby Posted April 7, 2021 Share #380 Posted April 7, 2021 Oh no. I was very busy at the end of March and got behind on reading some threads. I just went back and caught up on this thread and just read the news. I am so sorry for your loss, but relieved that she is no longer in pain and that she was surrounded by the family who loves her so well. I am also glad that you will have your family there to support you. You have been such an inspiration and role model of strength for so long. I hope sharing happy memories of Esther with your family will bring some comfort.
