Sleeping is hard

I fall asleep at 9 pm but am awake by 2 for the rest of the night. It’s a self-sustaining schedule, too. Work, dinner, sleep, then awake... repeat.

Yea, I'm something like that...awake by 2:30 am. Sometimes I can fall back asleep for another 1 hr. or 2-3 hrs. for latter on weekends.

My wife sent me to look for something in her bathroom cabinet. We have matching his and her wall cabinets in the master bath. I couldn’t find what she sent me to look for but I found packages of every kind of over the counter sleep aids imaginable. I never knew she had trouble sleeping. Well she sure got over that, now she is an expert sleeper. She sleeps all night and takes dozens of naps during the day.

4-5 hours for me, and it depends on the temperature outside and critters whether I get back to sleep again.  However, being retired, I take naps sitting in the computer chair. Just now, I was out with the dogs and my wife was up with Lad.  She'll go back to sleep, while I'll be here for a bit.  I don't want to wait too long to fall asleep, as Lad has an appointment for his acupuncture at 9:30am. Sleep tight and don't let the 'bed bugs' bite.  Not that I am inferring you have bed bugs, but that is what I say to the dogs, and they smile.  Hope you have a Great Day.

One advantage to working from home for me is that I get to sleep later since I don't really have to "get ready" for work.  I'm probably better rested than I have been for a long time, but I did notice stress seemed to be affecting my appetite at first (but I seem to have gotten over that as well).

I had trouble sleeping last night. I'd look at the clock and see 4:28 am, doze off, then wake up expecting a lot of time had passed. The clock read 4:45 am.

It gets to me every so often that virtually nothing is being done with my burnt house, due to understaffing at State Farm, slowing the contractual agreement with the company cleaning up, and the shortage of staff at the company cleaning up - which also has other jobs ongoing.

Fortunately, State Farm said it will pay the $1900 rent on my apartment for up to two years!  Hopefully, no more than half that will be needed but it's comforting to know I'm covered.

I repurposed the three hours of my commute to sleep and exercise and even work, and man, does it feel great!  Here is an article aboot how social distancing may be here to stay in one form or another, and it does fit in with what I have always thought, how dumb it is to do all this driving just to get to a workplace.  Sure, lots of people have to do that, but shirley not all of us!  The environment is shirley better off.

What are you?  Some sort'a sleep specialist?  Dr. Zack

Well when I called your references they all said you spent more time napping then mowing. Only makes sense if you mow more you’ll sleep more.

How early did you start day drinking today?

Coffee - about 8:30.  Not the good stuff.  This is regular brew from my regular stop.  They changed things up on me and have banned refill cups.  I had to put the Yeti back in the car.  Life is hard.

As for the good stuff - I shared again with the office yesterday and had several positive comments from co-workers.  I have enough for half a pot which I might make this afternoon with just a couple of us in the office today.

Did I mention that I'm almost out of the good stuff?

I am the opposite. Fall asleep slowly (usually have to read a while), then sleep well, but am a "light" sleeper, and if I do awaken, it is tough to get back to sleep again.

Welcome all of you.  I've been awake since 1:30 am and up since 2:30.  It was easy to manage the shift rollover between myself and Dots this morning.  Now he can go to bed and not sleep there.  I'm up to take care of the not sleeping now.

In bed around 930, up at 330, going back to sleep until I start work at 6. Work is actually a somewhat welcome distraction now, albeit temporary. I love my company for letting us work from home. It is a good company, and I sure hope it survives this debacle without major changes.

I was glad to help you tuck Dottles in. :D
