How many US States have you visited?

I have been to 22 that I know of.  I know my grandparents took us on a tour of the South when I was little, so might have hit a few more Southern states.   Flew into DC, so I had to have visited Virginia I guess, but not sure that counts.

Alabama
Arizona
Arkansas
California
Colorado
Florida
Georgia
Hawaii
Illinois
Indiana
Kansas
Louisiana
Massachusetts
Mississippi
New Mexico
New York
North Carolina
Oklahoma
Pennsylvania
South Carolina
Texas
Washington

Also 22.

Alaska
California
Connecticut
Delaware
Illinois
Indiana
Kentucky
Maine
Maryland
Massachusetts
Michigan
Missouri
New Hampshire
New Jersey
New York
Ohio
Oregon
Pennsylvania
Rhode Island
Vermont
Virginia
West Virginia

...add in Quebec and British Columbia (Vancouver) and that covers the entirety of my life's travels.  There's still so much of this country I haven't seen, I don't find I really have a strong desire to travel overseas.  Airplane legroom might just factor into that.

31 so far. Going to Arizona later this year. I won't count Georgia as it was only for a connecting flight in Atlanta.

If he "flew into DC" he most likely flew into either National or Dulles, both in VA?

I don't count airport time, or I could boost my total.  Seems gaming the system - especially DCA since would likely zoom in on the Metro to DC.  But, if he had to contend with DC area  traffic especially VA traffic from Dulles into DC and back, then he definitely should claim it!

Huh?  How is DC like visiting VA?  Did you cross the Potomac?

I am not sure.  I worked as a finish line photographer during college.  Flew to all kinds of ciites for a weekend.  We shot a race in DC.  I think we stayed in Arlington VA with a frat brother of one of the photographers.    Did a lot of weekend trips to major cities like this.

Maybe you were counting East Texas and West Texas as well as Texas?

Yeah I've driven across TX....  it could be 3 (or more) states just based on size.

Now that I think about it...  Even our local county (LaSalle has 1,148 square miles) is nearly as big as Rhode Island (1,214 square miles).
