Ralphie ★ Posted March 12 Share #1 Posted March 12 I’d say <5% for moi. Not sure why, because they are always funny.
jsharr ★ Posted March 12 Share #2 Posted March 12 My old college and post college room mate Matt loved the Simpsons, but I did not. I would be in that less than 5% camp. Sure I have seen bits and pieces of a few episodes, but I have not watched very many from soup to nuts.

TrentonMakes Posted March 12 Share #7 Posted March 12 For the first 15 or so seasons, 100% or damn close. Since then - only a tiny fraction. I think the golden era of the show was seasons 3-8, with 4 and 5 more or less tied for the best. Strange to think I was still playing JV basketball when I first saw the Simpsons - as a cartoon short in Tracey Ullman Show breaks.

Razors Edge ★ Posted March 12 Share #10 Posted March 12 I've seen less than 100 episodes - probably significantly fewer than 100 "unique" episodes. I'd say 30 or so is close, and then a bunch in small bits. I never watched it as a series - just as a dropping by sort of thing.
Kzoo Posted March 12 Share #11 Posted March 12 Let me calculate that.......... "multiply by 2, subtract 7..... carry the one....." Zero, zilch, nada!
TrentonMakes Posted March 12 Share #12 Posted March 12 oh, I've also seen the movie several times. Reviewing this thread, I guess I will stop posting Simpsons gifs. (no, that probably won't happen. The show's been around so long I can come up with a Simpsons reference for most anything)
Kirby Posted March 12 Share #13 Posted March 12 less than 5%. I don't really go out of my way to watch, but they typically make me laugh when I see one. And there are a few quotes that my family uses.
bikeman564™ Posted March 12 Share #14 Posted March 12 I watched them when they were shorts on the Tracy Ulman show. Then I seen every episode except a few from the beginning til about 2016. I haven't seen an episode in several years.
Solution ChrisL Posted March 12 Solution Share #15 Posted March 12 My son went through a Simpsons phase as a kid so I have seen a fair number of them but as the show has been on for so long I’m guessing it’s still less than 10%. Back when I was at Sony Pictures Gracie Films was literally outside our office and I spoke to Matt Groening many times. Nice guy. They had a party in their office once and I offered to staff it and he declined. I then said, best to secure your Emmy’s that were in the open in the lobby. He declined. Aaaand the Emmy’s walked away…. 1
groupw Posted March 12 Share #16 Posted March 12 I’m probably in the 5-10% group. I like them, but it ran its course for me. Futurama on the other hand, I think I’ve seen them all. For some reason that clicked more for me.

Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted March 12 Share #20 Posted March 12 Less than 5%. Mrs Parsnip doesn’t like the humor and she’s got the remote. We don’t watch a lot of television anyway.
ChrisL Posted March 12 Share #21 Posted March 12 I did a quick search and The Simpsons has been on for 35 seasons, first airing in 1989 and there are 762 episodes. Its current contract is through the 2025 season & will push it over 800 episodes! It’s the longest running American animated & American sitcom. 1 1

Randomguy Posted March 12 Share #23 Posted March 12 25%? The shorts, the first ten years, then a little bit here and there. I think it went way downhill when Conan O'Brien exited.
JerrySTL ★ Posted March 12 Share #24 Posted March 12 Probably about 5%. On the other hand, my son has seen every episode at least once.
Zephyr Posted March 12 Share #25 Posted March 12 Don't know if I have ever watched one start to finish, but have seen bits and pieces here and there. IMO the Family Guy is a funnier show and I have seen a lot of those
Mr. Silly Posted March 12 Share #26 Posted March 12 For the first 7 to 10 seasons, I think I watched all of them. I just stopped. I don't know why. I haven't seen a new episode since. MickinMD ★ Posted March 12 Share #27 Posted March 12 I would guess 10% to 20%. Most of the reruns I watch I don't remember seeing before, maybe 1 out of every 5 to 10 I remember.
